Food Groups with beneficial phytochemicals and antioxidants

Red + orange fruit and vegetables

– carotenoids decrease risk of CVD, cancer, improve mental function, prevent degeneration of eyes, support immune function

Green cruciferous vegetables
– block tumour growth, retard colon cancer, boost immunity, prevent polyps in the colon
