Mohsen Meydani, Ph.D. a senior scientist at Tufts University’s Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging investigated Curcumin as a possible cancer fighter and what he discovered was not only did it have a significant effect on tumors but it also played a major role in destroying fat cells.
Curcumin is a compound extracted from the popular Indian spice Turmeric and belongs to the ginger family.
Subsequent studies have shown that curcumin is not the only plant that has the ability to have a fat-reducing effect. In fact many of the already known cancer-fighting foods such as green tea, berries, cinnamon, pomegranate, soybeans, garlic, flax seeds, hemp seeds, onions, broccoli, apples and leafy greens have also demonstrated fat reducing abilities.
So whether you are trying to stay healthy or trying to lose weight include as many servings of all the foods listed above in your daily food consumption.
