What does sprouted-grains really mean?
You many have read on some bread or pasta packaging sprouted grains and wondered what does that even mean? Sprouted-grain breads and pastas are made with whole grains that have sprouted tiny plants before being ground into flour.
These have a higher protein-to-carb ration then those made with unsprouted grains. Some research shows that sprouting actually makes the nutrients more absorbable.
